Fetal anomaly condition leaflets for professionals
Information to support health professionals once a diagnosis of a congenital anomaly has been made
The NHS Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme has developed the leaflets below to provide up to date information on the 11 conditions screened for during the 18+0 to 20+6 week fetal anomaly scan.
The aim of this information sheet is to support staff involved in counselling pregnant women and their partners when a suspected or confirmed diagnosis has been made, following an ultrasound scan.
All of these leaflets were initially sent in a folder to every ultrasound unit in England in early 2010. The leaflets have been updated and reviewed in 2012 and are now available. Two copies of the leaflets will be sent shortly to every ultrasound department in England in a book format which includes an introduction and leaflets on the diagnostic procedures, Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis. To view and download the contents of this book comprising all the seperate leaflets please see below.
